Bakers and Co. is a cafe come restaurant on Bristol’s much-loved Gloucester Road. We serve quality brunch, seasonal lunches and colourful suppers alongside Extract coffee, fresh juices and natural wines.
Both the vibe and the menu are inspired by the vibrant, farm-to-table foodie scene seen on our travels to San Francisco.
We pride ourselves on serving only the best quality food and drink, all made from scratch, on site, by our dedicated and enthusiastic team.
We source the highest quality local produce, from Severn Project herbs and leaves to organic, English, sparkling wine. Our menu is ever-changing whilst still retaining our core value: to serve exciting, healthy and delicious food, whatever the time of day.

Our menu changes regularly depending on what is inspiring us and what is seasonal.
9am - 4pm
Chocolate & orange rye bread porridge, poached pear, hazelnut & natural yogurt
Smashed avocado, chilli, lime & coriander on sourdough toast (great with sides/ ng with ng tortilla)
Tumeric dhal, cavolo nero, cauliflower, soft boiled eggs & hazelnut dukkah (ng)
Huevos rancheros’ – slow cooked pinto beans, corn tortilla, red & green salsa, fried eggs (non gluten option with ng tortilla)
Bakers eggs – Tallegio, portobello & oyster mushrooms, new potatoes, spinach, baked eggs & sourdough
Morning toast – orange & cinnamon sugar Torrijas, smoked bacon/baked apple, crème fraiche, toasted almonds & maple syrup
Bakers’ breakfast- dry cure bacon, Fennel & black pepper sausages, morcilla, slow cooked pinto beans, thyme roasted mushrooms, red salsa, toasted sourdough & fried duck egg
Crushed & smoked new potatoes, oyster mushrooms & toasted seeds with either: Seared onglet steak & alioli (ng) Smashed avocado & mixed leaf (ng)
12pm - 4pm
Monday – Friday we have freshly made:
- Confit Pork & smoked Local cheddar
- Grilled aubergine, courgette, pepper & pesto (vg)
- Roast chicken, curried alioli, sultanas & baby gem
Seasonal soup served with fresh sourdough bread
Roast parsnip, honey & thyme (ng)&(v)
Seasonal Salad -
Roast winter squash, cavolo nero, fennel, capers, rye croton, severn project leaves, & quail eggs

Sourdough toast with organic butter/ Slow cooked pinto beans/ Two poached eggs/ Non gluten tortilla/ Feta

Our coffee is a seasonally changing single origin bean from local roasters Extract made on our beautiful la Marzocco machine with wonderful creamy organic Ivy House milk.Current Brew
Each day, we bake our own sourdough on site.
If you get in early enough, we have a few leftover loaves available to take home. Otherwise, you can try our fantastic bread with many of our dishes or, simply toasted with some organic Somerset butter.
